Important health tips during COVID-19

Health has been pushed to the forefront due to the recent Coronavirus pandemic. The infection is deadly and can affect nearly anybody. Having said that, if you are healthy and have a strong immune system your chances of catching the virus and it affecting you severely are minimum.

We have identified some important tips that can improve your health and immunity.

Have a fixed schedule for sleep. Try to sleep at least 6 hours and sleep during the same time every day.

Eat regularly and on maintain the schedule. Try to eat 3 to 6 meals in a day. Fix your time of eating and try not to deviate from the schedule.

Eat a healthy and balanced diet. When your body is compromised it is essential you eat well. Try to eat more nutritious food like vegetables, fruits, proteins and foods rich in vitamins.

Drink lots of fluids. Fluids are important to flush out the virus. Try to drink 2-3 litres of fluids every day. Water is best but you can supplement it with fresh juices or lime water.

Exercise 30 to 90 minutes daily. Exercise opens your lungs and helps you breathe better. It is best if you can do it in open air.

Rest for small intervals after every hour.

Keep you mind alert and stay positive. Talk to family and friends to reduce stress.
